History
Founded by Aristote Luciani in 2023, OUTRENOIR develops a vision where clothing becomes a field of research around material, construction, and silhouette.
Its Corsican roots, its connection with Milan, and its training at the Institut Français de la Mode give rise to a hybrid identity, at the crossroads of Mediterranean culture and Parisian elegance. The richness of materials, animal prints, and the Italian taste for contrasts meet a more silent and controlled vision, where the precision of lines and savoir-faire play an essential role. This duality shapes the brand's identity and nurtures each of its collections.
After experiences in accessories and footwear at Off-White™ and Courrèges, then as Designer Consultant at CELINE, Aristote Luciani developed a fascination for objects. This approach now influences all OUTRENOIR collections, where the boundary between clothing and accessories gradually blurs.
Inspired by the work of Pierre Soulages, from whom the brand takes its name, OUTRENOIR considers "outrenoir" not as a color, but as a way to reveal light through matter. Architecture, furniture, and decorative arts, with a particular focus on the Art Deco movement, play an essential role in this research. Each collection explores the development of textures, assemblies, prints, and rare materials to sublimate the silhouette and offer a new interpretation of clothing. More than an aesthetic, the brand develops a language where material and construction become a true form of expression.
